We asked the AI:

"What would Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania look like if Linke's manifesto for the state election on 20.9.2026 were fully implemented?"

Important note: The images shown do not represent a voting recommendation. We strongly encourage you to engage with the parties' concrete positions for the state election and to inform yourself thoroughly.

About the project

This project pursues two goals:

  • Motivating people to engage more deeply with the concrete content of state election manifestos – with a new AI-based approach.
  • Inviting you to think about your influence on your state's political future. Your vote in the state election is an important tool for actively shaping the region's future.

AI and state politics

The election manifestos were processed by an AI agent that analyzes what each state would look like if its manifesto were fully implemented. The resulting visions were used to generate images with Flux by Black Forest Labs (a German AI company).

The results are unedited and all based on the same prompts. They are meant to illustrate, not to serve as a voting recommendation.

AI exhibitions & shows

Our earlier project bundestagswahl.ai was already exhibited in several German cities as part of the 2025 federal election – among others in Tübingen, Essen, Berlin, Zwickau and Bernau. Visitors and school classes were guided through the exhibitions and could discuss the "future visions" together.

We're just as happy to exhibit the wahl.land images! If you'd like to show them yourself, just get in touch and we'll provide the print files and instructions free of charge.

Do the images represent a voting recommendation?

No, absolutely not. The visions serve solely to illustrate political programs and to encourage critical debate. They do not replace independent political judgment.

Why aren't all states available yet?

The project is growing step by step. Each state requires careful preparation of the manifestos and AI generation of the images. New states are being added continuously.

Are the images edited?

No, the images are unedited and shown exactly as generated by the AI. No changes were made afterward.
