State election manifestos are often hundreds of pages long, and hardly anyone reads them in full. That's why we built wahl.land: a project that raises awareness for the existence and the content of these manifestos. Two things matter to us here:
- wahl.land doesn't replace the election manifestos. We strongly recommend reading them yourself. You'll find them linked for every party.
- Our project is a low-barrier entry point into a complex political topic, so more people engage with it.
How we built this with AI
Our AI agent reads and analyzes the parties' election manifestos. It extracts concepts, ideas and demands, and sorts them into two groups: those that can be visually represented, and those that can't.
From the visually representable content, it generates an image with Flux by Black Forest Labs (a German AI company), based on a real-world reference image. The AI's reasoning is described in the text next to each image.
The results are unedited and all based on the same workflow. They're meant to illustrate, not to persuade. wahl.land is not a voting recommendation.
AI exhibitions & shows
We know our way around exhibitions: our earlier project bundestagswahl.ai was already shown in several German cities as part of the 2025 federal election, among others in Tübingen, Essen, Berlin, Zwickau and Bernau, where visitors and school classes were guided through and could discuss the "future visions" together. That experience has fed into wahl.land too: the exhibition has already been shown in Rostock in the run-up to the election.
All wahl.land images are available free of charge as print-ready posters. On the print files page you can download them for your state and exhibit them yourself, for example at school, in a club, or as part of a workshop.
